Privacy Policy
What personal data Stridee processes, why, who it is shared with, and the rights You have.
Last updated October 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Stridee handles personal data when You use stridee.com, its subdomains and the Stridee apps (the "Service"). It is written to meet the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
The controller is Molina Gonzalez Studio, the operator of Stridee, as set out in Our Imprint ("We", "Us"). You can reach Us about anything in this policy at [email protected].
This includes the data You give when You buy a ticket, join a membership or sign up with an organizer on Stridee. When We share those details with the organizer, the organizer becomes a separate, independent controller for its own use of them — for example if it exports them or emails You — and is responsible for that use.
Data We process for businesses using the Stridee API is different: it is covered by the Developer Platform Terms, and the business is its controller.
What We collect
- Account and profile data — email address, name, username, photo and the profile details You choose to add, such as bio, city, birth date, sex, height, weight and social handles.
- Activity and health data — workouts, routes, heart rate, sleep, recovery and similar data from the services You connect (for example Garmin, Apple Health or other wearables), or that You record or upload yourself.
- Location data — routes in Your activities, and Your live position when You choose to share it with Live Track.
- Content — posts, messages, event descriptions, comments and anything else You publish or send through the Service.
- Purchase data — what You bought, amounts and payment status. Card details are handled by Our payment processor; We only see the card type and its last four digits.
- Usage and device data — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, app events, and error and diagnostic reports.
- Anything else You choose to give Us — for example when You fill in a form, answer an organizer's registration questions or contact Us. We use it for the purpose You gave it for.
Why We use it

|---|---|
| Providing the Service, Your account and the features You use | Performance of a contract |
| Processing payments and paying out organizers | Performance of a contract; legal obligation |
| Processing activity and health data from connected services | Your explicit consent |
| AI features, such as generated workouts and coaching chat | Your explicit consent |
| Security, fraud prevention, debugging and keeping the Service running | Legitimate interests |
| Understanding how the Service is used and improving it | Legitimate interests |

| Keeping accounting and tax records | Legal obligation |
Health data is sensitive. We only process it after You connect a service or record it yourself, and only to provide the features You use. You can withdraw Your consent at any time by disconnecting the service or deleting the data; this does not affect processing that took place before.
AI features are optional. When You use them, the relevant parts of Your profile, training and wellness data are sent to Our AI provider to generate the answer. The provider processes it only on Our instructions and does not use it to train its models.
We do not sell Your personal data, and We do not use Your health data for advertising.
Who We share it with
- Service providers that process data on Our behalf: hosting and storage, email delivery, payment processing, AI processing, maps and location search, error monitoring, analytics and internal communication tools. They may only use the data to provide their service to Us.
- Organizers — Your name, email address, any answers You give at registration and Your purchase details, when You buy from or sign up with them, so they can run their event or offer and contact You about it.
- Other users — Your public profile, public activities and anything else You choose to make public or share with them.
- Connected services — the services You link to Your account, to the extent needed to connect them.
- App stores — Apple, when You subscribe through the iOS app.
- Authorities and advisers — where required by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
International transfers
We store data mainly in Switzerland and the European Union. Some service providers are located in, or may access data from, other countries — for example the United States. Where a country does not provide adequate data protection, We rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (with the Swiss addendum) or the Swiss–US and EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Service uses a small number of cookies and local storage entries that are necessary for it to work, such as keeping You signed in and remembering Your language. We measure usage with Our own first-party analytics.
On the public pages of platform.stridee.com We also use advertising measurement tags (from Google and OpenAI) to understand which ads lead to sign-ups. Where the law requires Your consent for these, We ask for it first. You can also block or delete cookies in Your browser settings.
Emails
We send emails that are necessary for the Service, such as sign-in codes, receipts and important account notices. We may also send You news about Stridee features; every such email has an unsubscribe link, and You can opt out at any time.
Organizers can email the people who bought from or signed up with them. Those emails come from the organizer, who is responsible for them.
How long We keep it
We keep personal data for as long as Your account exists and as long as needed for the purposes above. After You delete Your account, We delete or anonymise Your data within 30 days, except where We must keep it longer:
- accounting and payment records — 10 years, as required by Swiss law;
- server logs and sign-in records — up to 30 days;
- backups — overwritten within 6 months.
Your rights
You have the right to access Your personal data, to correct it, to have it deleted, to receive it in a portable format, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time. Under the GDPR You can also ask Us to restrict processing.
To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. You can also edit most of Your data directly in Your account settings.
If You believe We are not handling Your data lawfully, You can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, to the data protection authority where You live or work.
Security
We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is completely secure, but We work to keep Your data safe and will notify You and the authorities of a breach where the law requires it.
Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If You believe a child has given Us personal data, contact Us and We will delete it.
Garmin Connect Data
If You connect Your Garmin account, We receive fitness and activity data from Garmin Connect through Garmin's official APIs, only after You authorize the connection and only for the data You grant access to. We use it to provide the features of the Service, such as importing, displaying and summarizing Your activities.
You can disconnect Garmin at any time from Your account settings or from Garmin Connect, after which We stop receiving Garmin data. You can delete imported Garmin data from Your account, or ask Us to delete it.
We do not sell Garmin data or use it for advertising. It is processed by service providers acting on Our behalf only to operate the Service — such as hosting and, where You use AI features, AI processing — and they do not use it for their own purposes or to train their models.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the Service or the law changes. For material changes We will let You know by email or a notice in the Service before they take effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
